Creating a Memory for Your Building

Since 1999, BuildingWorks has been solving one problem: making sure the people who run buildings have the documentation they need, when they need it, for as long as they need it.

Our Story

BuildingWorks was founded in 1999 with a simple observation: the construction industry builds remarkable buildings, then hands over incomplete documentation. Warranties get lost. Manuals go missing. Specs end up in boxes that nobody opens.

Over 25 years and 500+ buildings, we have refined a process that delivers 100% verified, organized, instantly searchable documentation for every system in a building. Our clients include some of the largest general contractors and building owners in the Midwest and across the country.

In December 2025, BuildingWorks was acquired by Zero RFI , which acquires and transforms Owner's Representative and construction management firms by integrating AI-native technology across its portfolio. BuildingWorks anchors Zero's Building Lifecycle Services practice, providing the documentation and data handoff that supports long-term building performance. As part of Zero, we have the resources to build what comes next: a platform where your building's documentation is not just complete, but alive, connected, and ready for whatever the future of building operations looks like.

Room, system, manufacturer, CSI division. Find any document in seconds.

Access Anywhere

Browser-based. Works on any computer. No app required.

The same structured, verified dataset that helps your facility team find a spec sheet in seconds also serves as the foundation for whatever building technology comes next. As AI tools for predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and operational intelligence continue to mature, buildings with DataSphere already have the clean, complete data layer those systems require. You do not have to solve the data problem later. It is already solved.

Where We Are Headed

Where We Are Headed

Every building generates thousands of documents over its lifetime. Most of that information is lost or buried. We are building the systems to change that, creating a living record for every building that works for you today and is ready for whatever comes next. One building at a time.
